So many times we think we are "goal minded" and have well established goals when we are sadly mistaken. You see, a goal is only a goal "IF" it is written. Somehow when you write out your intentions with a few details you are taking a thought and making it a commitment.
There are several components required in formulating goals. The outline is as follows:
TO:
SO THAT:
BY:
TIME:
STEPS:
An example of this might be...
TO: start a Blog
SO THAT: I can share with others insights and experiences that I have learned over my years
BY: providing creative entries including mixed media art tutorials, photos of my artwork, words of wisdom, inspirational insights, prayers, etc
TIME: By March 1, 2011
STEPS:
- research blog sites
- determine what your bog theme and concept
- determine your blog name
- select a blog sight
- design blog site
- make first blog entry
- let others know about your new blog
So, now you have the basic outline for writing a goal. When you do these simple steps you increase the propbability of achieving your desired outcome. Go ahead and write a very simple goal that can be accomplished within 24 hours.
