    color your world with fabrics.....

    FABRIC COLLAGE:  Painting with Fabrics

After my recent purchase of my Husquvarna Viking Designer 1 sewing machine, I notice that the Lord has given me so many wonderful and creative ideas and experiences.  I am now creating fabric collages and using as many of the 1000 stitches that my machine will accomodate. Here are a few clips from a larger piece that I made.  I have created fabric collage bracelets, bangles and pillow pins.  I just love the palette of colors that I have from various pieces of fabrics and scraps. I find this art form to be very similar to watercolor painting.

    Josephine Sturghill Millen

    Dear Momma Josephine,

You lived a life so exemplary and I am a greater person knowing you. Thank you so very much for giving me your love especially after my mother passed away.  You will be greatly missed, however, no more pain and sorrow.

When I watch Jeopardy I will always think about you. I still think you should have been a contestant.

You leave behind, Ann, LJ, your sons and daughter in laws, grandchildren, great grand children and sisters and brothers. You touched all of our lives.

Don't you worry about us. I will make sure that Ann is okay, so go in peace to our Father God. In the catching away of the saints or by death we will meet again.

I love you forever and ever amen.

    Patti

Nuggets: 0 calories, 0 grams of fat

    faith-talk

Years ago while living in New Jersey and a member of Redeeming Love Christian Center in Nanuet, New York, I had the honor of hearing Evangelist Dr. Mike Murdock.  I was a baby Christian at the time and so hungry for truth.  His ministry was so simple and so easy to grasp the content.
Today as I was looking through my bookcase I pick up a book of his; Seeds of Wisdom –Faith Talk  Volume 12.  For such a tiny book it is packed with so many nuggets.

I would like to share a few of those nuggets with you now.
Faith Talk Nuggets (0 calories, 0 grams of fat)
    1.       Respect your tongue. Your tongue is one of the greatest gifts placed at your command by God. Use it wisely and you will discover the golden key to life.
    2.       Say what God wants to hear. Your words affect God. Your prayers ignite God.
    3.       Talk to yourself. What you say about your enemies, your future and your espectations affect what you believe.
    4.       Talk expectations not experiences. Do not drag yesterday into your future.
    5.       Absorb the promises of God. You can ONLY operate in faith according to your knowledge of His will for your life.
    6.       Picture your desires future. Know God’s dream for your life. Get a picture in your mind. Think  bigger and BIGGER. Fill your mind and heart and life with it.
    7.       Find faith food. When you feed on the scriptures your spirit man makes faith come alive and it becomes a living force within you.
    8.       Replay successes in your mind. Yesterday is your history of successes.
    9.       Keep a journal of miracles. Look for miracles EVERYDAY. Look for the unexpected. Look for unplanned invitations, introduction to people, information coming forth to benefit you. Document these daily experiences in a journal.
    10.   Make it a point to be thankful. Thankfulness produces joy. Savor God’s everyday blessing toward you.

Live your life with passion and vision!

This is my first time in forever that I have had a man in my life on Valentines's day.  I know what I am about to describe is irrational however, this is how I see things.
    scenario:
You start dating a man let's say in September. He forgets Sweetest Day and you are dissappointed but  the relationship is still new.  You make excuses for why he forgot you. things go well for a few months. Thanksgiving comes and he starts acting funny...edgy.  Well by the time Christmas comes he has gotten on your last nerve and he is acting terribly. He provokes a break up so that he does not have to spend money on a gift for you. By New Years Eve he is back in the scene...besides he needs a date for that night.  Things go well until a week before Valentine's Day.  He hates this holiday and grumbles that it is merely a Hallmark invented day to gain profits.  He starts to act up again and breaks up for a few days so that he does not have to do anything special for Valentine's Day.  So Valentine's Day has passed and he apologizes for his behavior. He is on his best behavior because his birthday is coming up and he wants to get a special gift and celebration from you.

Okay, so I have known too many men like this....BUT this year 2011 I have a man in my life who is so precious.  He gave me a wonderful surprise gift and celebration 5 days early. This is a first for me and I feel like a queen.

So whether you have a special person in your life or not....
    Love YOURSELF
     Love others

Live life with passion and vision!
