MEMORIAL DAY at 3851

Today has been a quiet day...
I think the phone only rang once and it is nearly 7:00 pm.

So where did the day go?
  • I prayed for about 1 1/2 hours this morning
  • spent hours working on the Prayer Clinic presentation
  • surfed the net looking at artwork by fiber artists
  • chatted back and forth by text with a friend
  • went to Dollar Tree and Walmart and Joann's ETC
  • stopped at Suburban Volvo in Troy to check out the new S-60's and S-80's. I claimed before heaven, earth and hell which one is to be mine. Glory to God.  I actually fell in love with a silver S-60 and also a lt brown/platnum S-80.  gotta have one of them! I still  love the S40 I have now.
  • I am home now chillin' and getting ready to go make a salad for dinner.

woo woo woo .... My baby is sick and at the Viking Sewing Machine Hospital for a few days.  I miss her so much. I had no idea how much I depend on her to express my creative juices. Of course, while she is gone I have a gazillion ideas to try.  I might have to pull out may old faithful Kenmore and sew a seam or something, lol.

OH!  I forgot.  I did a load of laundry. Just 5000 more loads to go. lol

Thanks to all of the soldiers past and present and their families for giving me the opportunity to live in freedom and without great fear. Thank you so much.

PRAYER CLINIC

...how to pray strategically to change your life.

I have been working on an upcoming ministry workshop to be given to member of my church on June 11. I have been working on the project for months and now time is winding down. The Prayer Clinic will teach the group how to enter into the presence of God and strategically prayer according to the exact method that Jesus instructed us to use.

Several years after I got saved I asked the Lord to teach me how to pray. He did and I have never been the same. The biggest challenge I have in prayer is discipline; the discipline to pray for an hour. Why an hour? Well Jesus asked his disciples before he was crucified, "what, could you not tarry one hour?"
My experience has been that when you pray strategically for at least 60 minutes, something very supernatural happens. How? Why?   I have no idea BUT if my God has asked me to do so then I know that there is a blessing involved.

So, what is this great method for prayer? It is the model prayer that is Jesus instructed us to pray.
Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name
·         Intimate praise and worship
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven
·         Praying God’s will
Give us this day our daily bread
·         Praying for your needs
And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
·         Praying for forgiveness
And lead us not into temptation But deliver us from the evil one
·         Praying for protection
For Thine is the power and the glory forever, amen
·         Kingdom praise and worship

Now most of us are familiar with the Lord's Prayer by reciting it or even singing it. The Lord's Prayer is actually an outline for prayer. Each of the 7 lines is a type of prayer and when prayed in order will cover you, your family, nation, community and others with dynamic results.

In addition, I will teach the group about God's Benefit Program. When Jesus was crucified, His blood testifies that we have been redeemed, forgiven, given peace, made whole, soundness and the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

Here is  the Kingdom of God Benefit Program:

BENEFIT COVERAGE
SUPERIOR COVERAGE PLAN
SIN
Forgiveness of sins, deliverance from sin’s dominion
Righteousness
Sanctification
SPIRIT
Fullness of Holy Spirit
Peace
God is There- partnership
SOUNDNESS
Health and Healing
SUCCESS
Freedom from the curse
Provisions
SECURITY
Freedom from death, freedom from hell
Banner
Shepherd

So, I am very excited about teaching people how to change their lives through prayer habits and discipline.

CARLA SONHEIM...

my newest favorite artist...

about 10 days ago as I was online I discovered Carla Sonheim. Her art excited my soul; so whimsical yet mysteriously deep.  I wanted to learn more about her. I had never heard of her nor had I seen her work. The next day I "happen" to be in the art section of Barnes and Noble and low and behold a book caught my eye and the author was Carla Sonheim. I picked it up and without really looking at it decided that I would purchase it.  I absolutely love the book. There are pages and pages of simple methods for learning how to draw.  I have already completed Lab 1 which is to draw 30 cats. Mine started out so goofy and by no. 30 I had developed a sort of style that I liked.  My favorite cat actually looks like a little dog. (lol)

I truly suggest that you purchase her book. You will not regret it. When you purchase it please consider doing so through my blog as I am an Amazon affiliate.  ALSO, I paid full price but Amazon has it discounted so nicely.

Her work just excites my spirit. I have at least one of her books and absolutely love to go online, view her website and view online videos. Now that I am feeling better and ready to write on my blog I thought I would start by sharing some of the treasured tutorials and videos showing her work.
Last year I collected a host of online tutorials to share with my friends and called it Summer Camp. It was nice to get comfy and watch one tutorial after another stimulating creativity and learning new techniques. So today I am going to give you a collection of Traci's videos so that you can relax and learn new techniques.
